ECB Clubmark

Friday 8th November 2013

I am pleased to advise that Meopham Cricket Club has now officially achieved the ECB's Clubmark Re-Accreditation.

As you maybe aware, Clubmark is a cross-sport quality accreditation for clubs with junior sections. It is considered vital that these clubs serve young people well. Clubmark accreditation serves as confirmation that Meopham Cricket Club can:-
  • Ensure the well-being of young people whilst in the care of adults other than legal parent(s)/carer(s)
  • Enthuse young people to enjoy sport and active recreation to build a healthy and active life style
  • Enable young people to use their leisure time creatively
  • Allow yonug people to optimise their talents and personal ability
  • Identify and support the development of the most talanted youing people

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) awards Clubmark to proven high quailty Clubs. The national scheme has been in place since 2002 and as at mid 2013 there are over 1,500 accredited clubs in England and Wales. In Kent, there are over 65 Clubmark Accreditated Cricket Clubs and Meopham Cricket Club is one of them.

Thanks must go to those who put the considerable effort into achieving this goal which demonstrates the Club's commitment and dedication to community club cricket
